Commonly known vibration isolation items include elastomeric springs, air springs, and urethane. Among these, coil springs are widely used for vibration isolation applications due to their ability to accommodate a wide range of loads and ease of installation. However, coil springs themselves have very low inherent damping capacity, so it was necessary to add damping functionality individually for controlling free vibrations.
